What is the difference between a hat and a cap?
Help me fix a stupid argument, but I had warmed up this weekend. (And no for the first time, actually.) are "hat" and "cap" synonyms, are covers of a certain type of hat or are two distinct, different types of head wear?
A cap fits over the head and is made of soft material. It has a wing, although it can have a viewfinder, like a baseball cap. There are also the caps worn by the Jewish faith and the pope. One always has a wide-brimmed hat and is shaped in different ways, but not "embrace" the shape of his head a cap made. It is usually made of a stronger material and usually used outdoors for protection from the elements.
