The world is synonymous with luxury to the old rulers of Indian sub-continent and sample the delights wordily perfect for the luxury of Rajas and Maharajas of India included the temptation and the procession of Rolls Royce. Acquisition of one could not satisfy his lust, so there were hundreds of Rolls Royce. After India's independence, the number of people who indulged in that splendid interest drastically dropped. But half a century down the line, people who could afford has emerged again.
Being a car enthusiast and known by some very influential scholars in the automotive industry, I had the opportunity to make my dream a reality. The day came when one of my friends offered me a test drive of a new splendor called Phantom, Rolls Royce Phantom. And to my luck, was right in the heart royalty, Rajasthan. Having driven the Phantom I, 1927 and 1934 from Continental, I was there to compare the first ghost of beauty today. My first vision of 6.75 liters, V12, animal black, all made me weak in the knees. The Phantom elegance perfectly complimented the brightness of the palace in Rajasthan.
The moment I entered the cabin of the Phantom and started my drive out of the palace, my calculation Everything started to go wrong. During the week, I was expecting to drive the dream on wheels, but never thought the trip would ever Phantom secondary to something. I got tested long drive to the royal regime of Rajasthan, we went to the crowded streets, in the pink city of Jaipur and the Thar desert terrain. It was only in the road that we could put at least 20 percent of the energy our willingness to work. The 435 hp engine took us to 60 mph at 5.7 seconds flat. The leather interior handcrafted from ash wood dash and headlining starlight, all added to the feeling of luxury car, if you can call 'it' that. The computer controlled air suspension ensured that sailed through the rough roads of India. The engines are incredibly quiet and as I drove down the deserted road, our senses crave for some audience noise. The interior or passing through the Jaisalmer Fort, I fell back in years, an idea of royalty keeps dragging me, as if a prince at the wheel of his Rolls Royce passion to his house, Jaisalmer Fort.
The magic days came to an end and I have to give a verdict on the test drive Phantom. The quality of journey was nothing like I had, was pure, brilliant and incomparable. But for me it was a half-hearted. I was more intrigued by the appearance of the fortresses of Rajasthan and get the true hang of them. Someday i hope to get my hands on the engineering masterpiece of sculpted but will ensure that I am far from the epitome original royalty, luxury and power.
